Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

On the first visit we will meet for about an hour and a half in person or online. My priority is getting to know you, not just your symptoms. We’ll take time to build rapport and create a space that feels safe, respectful, and non-judgmental. I want to understand your life as a whole: what matters to you, what you believe, what you’ve been carrying, and what has brought you here now.

From there, we’ll work collaboratively to develop a thoughtful, individualized treatment plan. This may include traditional psychiatric medication and/or non-pharmacologic, complementary approaches. Your values, preferences, and goals are central to this process, and they will guide the direction of your care.

The goal of a comprehensive psychiatric assessment is to review what you are experiencing and begin to establish a route for treatment.

I specialize in comprehensive psychiatric evaluation of the following in adults:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Insomnia

  • Mood Swings

  • Obsessive and Compulsive Behaviors

Follow-up Appointments

Follow-up visits give us time to check in on how you’ve been since our last meeting and thoughtfully adjust your care as needed. Together we’ll review what’s working well, what may need refinement, and discuss options such as medication adjustments, lab work, or integrative supports when helpful.

Visits are time-based, allowing us to choose the format that best supports your care.

50-minute visits provide space to incorporate supportive psychotherapy alongside medication management and treatment planning.

30-minute visits are more focused and are often helpful for patients who are already working with a therapist and are meeting with me primarily for medication management and integrative treatment support.

The frequency of visits is individualized and typically ranges from weekly to every 2–3 months, depending on your needs and treatment goals. We’ll decide together what cadence feels most supportive.

With your permission, I may also collaborate with other professionals involved in your care. Over time, we’ll continue to revisit and refine your treatment plan so it evolves with your progress and supports your overall wellbeing.

What about reaching out in between visits?

Communication Between Appointments

Questions or updates sometimes come up between appointments, and you are welcome to reach out when they do. Many patients find it reassuring to know they can share changes in how they’re feeling or ask brief questions about their treatment between visits.

Messages can be sent through the patient portal. I review messages regularly and typically respond within 1–3 business days.

If a concern requires more time or discussion, we may schedule a follow-up visit so we can talk through things more thoughtfully.
