Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

On the first visit we will meet for about 1.5 - 2 hours online or in person. My priority is getting to know you, not just your symptoms. We’ll take time to build rapport and create a space that feels safe, respectful, and non-judgmental. I want to understand your life as a whole: what matters to you, what you believe, what you’ve been carrying, and what has brought you here now.

From there, we’ll work collaboratively to develop a thoughtful, individualized treatment plan. This may include traditional psychiatric medication and/or non-pharmacologic, complementary approaches. Your values, preferences, and goals are central to this process, and they will guide the direction of your care.

The goal of a comprehensive psychiatric assessment is to review what you are experiencing and begin to establish a route for treatment.

I specialize in comprehensive psychiatric evaluation of the following in adults:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Insomnia

  • Mood Swings

  • Obsessive and Compulsive Behaviors

What happens after our first visit?

Follow-up Appointments

After the initial visit we will meet together to discuss how you have been since we last met. We will discuss the recommendations that are working well and those we need to make changes to. This could include discussing medication, lab work, or holistic interventions.

These visits are time based which gives you a choice.

  • 60-minute sessions offer time to integrate psychotherapy.

  • 30-minute session are more focused, these are generally for those that may be already meeting with another therapist and we are addressing medication and holistic interventions only.

Each individual treatment plan is different but the frequency of visits generally range from weekly to every 2-3 months. We will discuss this and decide together.

When helpful, I also collaborate with other professionals involved in your care. As we move forward, we’ll continue to revisit and refine your treatment plan in follow-up visits, reassessing your goals, progress, and what support you need to feel more grounded and well.

What about reaching out in between visits?

Communication Between Appointments

I am available for communication between appointments to address concerns that may come up. Many patients that take medication feel at ease knowing that they can communicate any changes with me. Emails and calls are generally returned within 1-3 business days.
