I work with adults seeking thoughtful, personalized psychiatric care. Many clients come in for support with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, or life transitions, and are looking for a collaborative, grounded approach to mental wellness.

I currently provide psychiatric care for individuals located in Washington, DC.
Because psychiatric care is regulated by state licensure laws, clients must be physically located in Washington, DC at the time of each appointment, even for virtual sessions.

A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is an advanced practice clinician specializing in mental health assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and medication management across the lifespan.
PMHNPs are licensed to prescribe psychiatric medications and provide comprehensive mental health care, including psychotherapy and integrative treatment planning.
While psychiatrists attend medical school, PMHNPs are advanced practice nurses with graduate-level specialized training in psychiatry and mental health care. Both roles provide high-level psychiatric treatment, and many clients choose a PMHNP for a collaborative, whole-person approach that integrates medical, psychological, and lifestyle factors.
At Havenwell, care is individualized, relational, and focused on long-term wellbeing, not just symptom management.

Integrated psychiatry is a holistic, patient-centered approach to mental health that combines conventional psychiatric treatments (medication, psychotherapy) with evidence-based complementary therapies like nutrition, lifestyle changes, and mindfulness. It aims to treat the whole person in order to address the root causes of mental health issues, rather than just managing symptoms.

Working with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in real life.
My approach is warm and direct. I listen carefully, ask meaningful questions, and help you make sense of patterns without judgment. Sessions are unhurried and tailored to you, with space for both practical strategies and deeper reflection.
My goal is to help you feel more clear, steady, and connected to yourself - not just functioning, but well.

I offer a thoughtful and personalized approach to mental health care, one that allows space for deeper understanding, collaboration, and long-term wellbeing.
Rather than brief, symptom-focused visits, care is designed to be unhurried and integrative. Sessions allow time to explore the full picture: mental health, lifestyle, stress patterns, relationships, and the factors that influence overall wellbeing and performance.
The focus is not only on symptom relief, but on sustainable mental health, helping clients build clarity, resilience, and alignment in their daily lives.
Because the practice operates outside of the insurance model, treatment decisions are guided by clinical needs and individual goals rather than external limitations.

Yes. When it is clinically appropriate, I prescribe psychiatric medication as part of treatment.
Medication is never approached as a one-size-fits-all solution. I view it as one possible tool within a broader, collaborative treatment plan that may also include lifestyle factors, psychotherapy, and other integrative strategies.
When medication is used, my approach is thoughtful and conservative. I aim to prescribe the least amount of medication needed to create meaningful, sustainable improvement. Decisions are made together, with careful attention to your goals, preferences, and overall wellbeing.

I operate outside of the insurance model so that care can remain personalized, unhurried, and thoughtfully tailored to each individual.
Working independently allows for:
• Longer appointment times
• More collaborative and integrative treatment planning
• Greater flexibility in care decisions
• A stronger focus on prevention, wellness, and sustainable mental healthThis approach supports deeper therapeutic relationships and allows care to be guided by clinical needs and individual goals.
